It's official . . .
I no longer have a belly button. In fact, this morning as I got dressed Wild Man noticed and asked, "Mommy, what happened to your belly button?"

- I have recently completed my Ph.D. in English, focusing on 19th-century American literature. I am half of an academic partnership: my husband just completed his first year in a tenure-track position in Art History at a Research University. Our oldest son, Wild Man, is a toddler, and our youngest son, Bear, is an infant. We're continuing to adapt to all the changes and joys they have brought to our lives.
